2013- Keepin' it Simple, Silly!

Hi San Antonio Vegans, and finally, WELCOME to 2013! Personally, although I had a very exhausting bout of tonsillitis to start the New Year, it was with a great sense of relief that I closed the door of 2012. For me, 2013 represents the stripping down and simplifying of all things. It's such a freeing place to go- to simplify- and that is my challenge to you for the New Year!

 I wonder how many resolutions we all made that have already been broken...sometimes we try to make sooo many changes that it's hard to keep up with any one change at a time. So, simplify! Cross a few things off of that humongous 2013 "to-do" list you made as a gift to yourself. And then focus on the ones that are really important to you. For me, it's my health (spiritual, emotional, and physical), my family, and my finances. Those are my focus points- nothing too complicated.

Our group is also going to try to Keep It Simple. We don't want to add to your stressball.... we want to be a fun place, an encouraging place for everyone! No judgment...no stress...just...vegans getting together, talkin' bout vegan stuff and lovin' each other- and helping our newbies out however we can!

 In the spirit of Keepin' It Simple, we're going to have Vegan First Tuesday every month in 2013. That means you can get your kindle, ipad, phone, or planner out and mark every first Tuesday of every month as a San Antonio Vegans fun night. The event itself will rotate- it will probably be a dinner out, maybe a potluck, or Vegan Drinks. This isn't to say there won't be other events sprinkled in between on occasion, but Vegan First Tuesday will be something you can count on.

 I know I haven't mentioned it lately, but make sure you pick up your 2013 membership and discount card. It helps us have fun giveaways and other stuff for you, and it gives you lots of awesome discounts around town at vegan friendly local businesses. 2013 is Almost Here!

Happy Holidays to our wonderful San Antonio Vegan family!

We are growing every day and so fortunate to be a part of this movement at this time!

You'll notice that our 2013 Membership cards are now available. Please don't forget to renew your membership and pass it along to your friends and family as well! Our discounts have grown and we are still working with a dozen other businesses to get them added.

We have slowed down for the holidays but you should see a few events popping up in the next week or two.
